Jen's Sweet Shop is a traditional and retro sweet shop, based in Sutton Coldfield in the UK. Set up 8 years ago, Jen's Sweet Shop aims to bring the nostalgic sweets of the past to your doorstep for just £5.95! Being a sweet tooth and a lover of all things retro, I was super excited to receive one of these charming little boxes in the post.
Birchbox really have outdone themselves this month! They have teamed up with possibly one of my favourite UK brands, the stationary company Ohh Deer. Ohh Deer specialise in quirky, funny, and individual stationary from notebooks and planners, to sticky notes and pencils. I’ve been a fan of theirs for about 2 years now, and the obsession only got worse when they opened a store down the road from my University!
After taking a break from these reviews last month, I am back with an absolute stunner of a Birchbox for December. With a theme of ‘Life’s Little Treasures’, it seemed perfect that Birchbox teamed up with luxe British fashion designer Matthew Williamson on this one! The box is inspired by his Treasure Garden print and screams festivity. Look at it, it’s just bloomin’ beautiful! (Get it, flower pun…)
It seems almost like criteria that at some point, every blogger must do a post on Lush products! I’m all aboard the stereotype train as I adore Lush and have been buying their products for years. This mini review is going to feature a handful of products that I have in my cupboards, some of which are seasonal so may not be around when you read this! Let’s get going shall we?
This month’s Birchbox theme is ‘feeling good’ and in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Birchbox have teamed up with the charity ‘CoppaFeel’. ‘CoppaFeel’ aim to raise awareness of the early signs of breast cancer and encourage everyone to check their breasts regularly (yes, men included!). They’ve included a handy little sticker which is safe for the shower to help us all remember to check our wobbly bits!
‘Hit The Ground Running’ is released not long after the best-selling singer songwriter celebrated the 10 year anniversary of his debut album ‘Hand Built By Robots’. The celebration featured a visually spectacular play through of the album from Faulkner’s studio and home, really connecting with the audience that has stood strong beside him for the last decade.
Is anybody else suddenly shocked that we are in September?! Where has this year gone… However, one good thing is that another month means another Birchbox. This month’s box sees a collaboration between Birchbox and Oliver Bonas and the theme is ‘work hard, play hard and be kind’.
